February is a time of year when love is in the air, represented by Valentine’s Day. I love the traditions of lace, hearts and cherubs in shades of reds, pinks and white. Traditional gifts given during this time of year include flowers and candy.
Last year, I found a pattern for a crocheted, heart-shaped box of chocolates online. I didn’t like the clumsy look of the crocheted box, but the candies looked great, so I decided to try that fun project this year, with some minor adjustments.
I purchased glittery red heart boxes to fill with my unique candies and currently offer them for sale. They are better than flowers because they will never wilt or die. And, while you can’t eat these chocolates, they can be kept forever to enjoy. You can purchase one (or more, of course) in my Etsy shop. If you live in the Las Vegas area, I sell a larger box of eleven chocolates, also advertised on Craigslist and Nextdoor.
Here is my little Shih Tzu Lucky wishing you a very loving Valentine’s Day and joyful February. See you next month!
